Albert McCourt was married to Mary Kay Albritton. She was divorced from Robert and was divorced from him once before. Albert was the father of Michael and Teresa Albritton.
Albert McCourt was born in Pennsylvania and was the child of Italian immigrants. He and his brother were born just after two weeks into the Union Army. He went to West Point, and was a captain during the Civil War.
Albert McCourt and his brother served in World War II. and he went to Japan where he became a nuclear physicist. He returned to the U.S. and worked as a physicist before retiring to work as a nuclear scientist for GE in New Jersey.
Albert Mccourt spent several years as a nuclear physicist at GE and was responsible for creating the atomic bombs. His wife was a doctor and mother of his three children. He was a friend of the famed physicist Niels Bohr.
Albert Mccourt died in 1977 at the age of ninety-five. He lived a long, healthy and active life. He had four grandchildren.
